IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT ARSENAL CAPTAIN CESC FABREGAS is suffering a broken fibia from the clash with Carles Puyol in the Champions League match against Barcelona last Wednesday. The 22-year-old limped through the remaining minutes of the match after scoring the rewarded penalty, despite being advised to leave the pitch. Doctors estimate that Fabregas will be out of action for at least 6 weeks, and will almost certainly missing from the Arsenal line-up this season.

MANCHESTER UNITED MANAGER FERGUSON SAYS THAT WAYNE ROONEY will recover form ankle ligament damage in "two to three weeks". Ferguson reasured the worried football fans of England that he would be able to play in the World Cup.
 The striker will certainly miss the next three United games.

MEANWHILE, ENGLAND MANAGER FABIO CAPELLO HAS ASKED DAVID BECKHAM to join the club in South Africa, despite the midfielder's ankle injury that was gained in Milan's 1-0 win over Chievo last Sunday.
"It will give the lads a big boost because he's just got that presence, and great players have that." said England and Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick, " He's got that all-round presence that people respond to.".
